Schedule: Full-Time, 40 Hours/Week
Shift: Monday Thursday, 8:00 AM 6:30 PM (4 days/week)
Holidays: No holiday rotation required
Systems Used: EPIC, DR, Primordial
Position Summary:Athena Medtech is seeking a skilled and compassionate Mammography Technician to join our Imaging Department. The ideal candidate will perform both screening and diagnostic mammography procedures while ensuring patient comfort, safety, and accurate imaging according to established departmental protocols.
Key Responsibilities:Perform high-quality mammographic imaging for both screening and diagnostic purposes, including tomosynthesis
Assist with interventional procedures such as wire localizations, ductograms, cyst aspirations, and core biopsies (stereotactic and ultrasound-guided)
Support radiologists with breast ultrasound exams as needed
Calculate and select appropriate technical factors for each examination
Properly annotate images with lead markers and ensure accurate identification using verified patient demographics
Ensure timely image transfer to the PACS system and complete all related documentation in EPIC and Primordial
Maintain knowledge of imaging protocols, safety guidelines, and department quality standards
Minimum of 2 years of mammography experience
Certification and registration in Mammography (ARRT-M)
Proficient with EPIC , DR , and Primordial systems
Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient-centered care
Excellent communication and organizational skills
