**Shifts:** Variable - Must be available for 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift, plus one weekend day per week
**Pay Rate:** $55.17 - $77.24/hour

PDS Tech Commercial is hiring a highly motivated **Test & Evaluation Engineer** to support our client's Space Systems Verification and Test team in El Segundo, CA. As a key contributor, you'll play a hands-on role in preparing, automating, securing, and maintaining specialized test equipment used across factory and launch environments. **Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities:**
+ Provide real-time support on the factory floor for satellite and space system programs
+ Define and document test equipment setups and deployment processes
+ Troubleshoot test infrastructure and coordinate support for efficient issue resolution
+ Deploy and configure test software, automation tools, and test servers
+ Harden systems and implement tools to meet strict product security requirements
+ Support secure configuration of facilities, tools, data networks, and test environments
+ Collaborate in agile teams to execute security-focused system upgrades and enhancements
**What You'll Bring:**
**Required Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry
+ 5+ years of engineering experience (or equivalent: Master's + 3 years, PhD with relevant experience)
+ Current **CompTIA Security+** and **CompTIA Network+** certifications
+ Experience with Windows Server, RedHat/Oracle Enterprise Linux, and Cisco IOS
+ Proficiency with VMware virtualization and enterprise storage systems
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ ITIL 4 and/or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification
+ Cybersecurity or secure network configuration experience
+ Familiarity with satellite test operations and automation platforms (PTEX, MTEX, ATC)
+ Experience with RedHat/Oracle Linux, Windows OS variants, and networked storage environments

**Pay Details:** $55.17 to $77.24 per hour
