Position Summary
Insight Global is seeking a Pharmacist in Charge to lead and oversee a specialty infusion pharmacy. This role ensures the highest standards of patient care and compliance with state and federal regulations while managing a dynamic team in a growing home infusion environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Pharmacy Operations & Compliance
- Direct daily pharmacy operations, ensuring adherence to all regulatory requirements
- Maintain accurate records, documentation, and compliance audits
- Manage inventory, including proper storage, handling, and disposal of medications
- Patient Care
- Oversee medication preparation and dispensing for home infusion therapies
- Collaborate with physicians to optimize patient medication regimens
- Provide patient counseling and education on infusion therapies
- Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, train, and mentor pharmacy staff for optimal performance
- Foster continuous learning and professional development
- Address staff concerns and performance issues promptly
- Additional Day-to-Day Details:
- Initial training provided by current Pharmacy Manager for a few days/week starting out.
- Manage a patient census of 25–30 on chronic autoimmune/neurologic therapies - primarily IVIG (Skyrizi, Stelara).
- Responsibilities include filling medications, coordinating shipments via courier/FedEx, drafting orders, clarifying prescriptions with physician offices, etc.
- Minimal in-office patient interaction; most direct patient care handled by the Director of Pharmacy.
Must-Have Qualifications
- Active Pharmacist license in Florida
- 1+ year of PIC/Pharmacy Manager experience
- Specialty pharmacy experience (preferably in home infusion pharmacy or infusion therapies)
- Strong knowledge of state and federal pharmacy regulations
Preferred Qualifications
- Extensive background in home infusion or infusion therapies
