Position Title: Senior Estimator
Location: Charlotte, NC
Employment Type: Full-Time
Compensation: $85K–$95K annually, plus bonus
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Estimator 3 to join our team in Charlotte, NC. This senior-level estimating role is with a well-established company providing plumbing and painting services for commercial projects and custom homes. Estimator 3 is responsible for efficiently pricing complex, high-value multifamily and commercial projects, while also serving as a key resource for market data, technology adoption, and process improvement, and mentoring Estimator 1 and Estimator 2 teammates.
Key Responsibilities:
· Lead estimates for large, complex drywall/paint scopes or full-scope commercial bids.
· Develop and refine estimating SOPs, templates, and best practices to improve accuracy and efficiency.
· Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, labor rates, and material pricing ; manage and update cost databases.
· Evaluate and recommend new technologies to drive efficiency and competitiveness.
· Present detailed bids for executive leadership and support negotiations with clients and general contractors.
· Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior estimators, ensuring continuous skill development and team growth.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree is preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.
· 5+ years of experience estimating complex multifamily and commercial projects.
· Advanced proficiency in estimating software platforms.
· Strong knowledge of drywall, paint, and related scopes—or full GC bid management.
· Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor junior team members.
· Demonstrated success in process improvement and technology adoption.
Work Environment:
· Primarily office-based with occasional travel to job sites, pre-bid meetings, and client offices.
· Standard business hours with occasional extended hours to meet bid deadlines.
· Collaborative, fast-paced professional environment with cross-departmental interaction.
