Job Description
FlexStaff is looking for a skilled Machine Maintenance Mechanic to join our client, a leading food manufacturer in the Bronx. The office is scheduled to relocate to Moonachie, NJ in Q1 next year (15 mins by bus from Port Authority + 2 min walk).
This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, with flexible shifts to meet production needs. Typical hours are 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, but alternative shifts like 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM may be available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on production machinery (e.g., conveyors, mixers, ovens).
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues.
- Assist with installation, upgrades, and modifications of equipment.
- Ensure compliance with safety policies and OSHA regulations.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records using CMMS.
- Collaborate with production teams to optimize efficiency and product quality.
- Respond to equipment failures during regular and off-hours.
Ideal Candidate:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in a food manufacturing environment.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
