Job Description

Position Title: Landscape Installation Supervisor

Location: 2121 Brittmoore Rd, Suite 4100

Reports To: Director of Construction Operations

Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Summary

The Landscape Installation Supervisor is a critical leadership role responsible for translating detailed design plans into built environments of exceptional quality. This position oversees the day-to-day operations of landscape construction projects, managing crews, materials, and site logistics from pre-construction through final completion.

We are seeking an individual who brings technical expertise, team leadership, and a solutions-oriented mindset. The right candidate understands how to balance productivity with precision, and how to drive a project forward without compromising craftsmanship or service.

This is not a passive or behind-the-scenes role—this is boots on the ground, eyes on the details, and hands guiding the work. The Installation Supervisor plays a central role in shaping how our company is experienced in the field—by clients, crews, and collaborators.

Core Responsibilities Field Supervision & Execution
  • Lead all installation activities including layout, grading, drainage, irrigation, hardscaping, softscaping, and lighting
  • Read and interpret detailed construction documents and site plans; translate them into clear execution steps for crews
  • Ensure all phases are completed on schedule, within scope, and to the highest quality standards
  • Maintain full ownership of job site cleanliness, organization, and professionalism
  • Perform hands-on work when necessary to support productivity and ensure detail execution
Team Leadership
  • Direct and motivate crews daily, establishing a clear work plan, expectations, and goals
  • Provide real-time training and support to improve crew skills, efficiency, and job site awareness
  • Foster accountability, pride, and a collaborative team culture among all crew members and subcontractors
  • Identify strengths and development needs in crew members; guide their long-term growth within the company
Quality & Safety Control
  • Conduct ongoing quality checks at each phase of the build; address and resolve issues immediately
  • Ensure work aligns precisely with design intent, grade specifications, and material standards
  • Monitor and enforce all company safety protocols, ensuring equipment is operated and maintained properly
  • Create and uphold a safe, respectful, and focused working environment for every team on site
Client Communication & Collaboration
  • Serve as the on-site point of contact for clients, designers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders
  • Represent the company with professionalism and confidence during site visits, walkthroughs, and meetings
  • Provide clear, consistent communication about project progress, changes, and expectations
  • Support final walkthroughs, punch list completion, and client education on new installations
Operational & Logistical Oversight
  • Coordinate material deliveries, equipment needs, and vendor schedules to avoid bottlenecks
  • Communicate daily with project management regarding updates, delays, or site needs
  • Maintain accurate site records including daily logs, photos, crew hours, and milestone completions
  • Support compliance with local codes, inspections, and permitting as needed
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience in landscape installation, construction, or a related field
  • Advanced knowledge of hardscape construction, irrigation systems, drainage, planting, and grading
  • Strong ability to read and implement construction drawings, site plans, and specifications
  • Leadership experience managing crews and subcontractors on complex residential projects
  • Excellent communication and conflict-resolution skills; able to speak clearly and tactfully with diverse groups
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple crews, schedules, and deadlines simultaneously
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record; bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred
  • OSHA, ICPI, or irrigation certifications are a plus
What Success Looks Like in This Role
  • Projects are executed smoothly and delivered with precision—on time and without compromise
  • Crews are engaged, trained, and unified under your direction
  • Clients feel well-informed and confident in your leadership from start to finish
  • Site conditions reflect care, professionalism, and attention to detail at every phase
  • You lead proactively—solving problems before they become issues and elevating the quality of every project

This role is ideal for someone who is both a builder and a leader—who can manage the momentum of a project while never losing sight of detail, quality, or the human experience behind the work.
