Job Description

Pinnacle Partners has partnered with an organization on the North West side of Indianapolis, Indiana in their search for a Category Manager. This is a fully onsite position.

The Category Manager will be a key member of the Procurement team, managing their assigned categories and vendors. This role will also take a strategic approach to sourcing strategies, lead negotiations, monitor vendor performance and optimize company supplier spend.

This is a newly created role and will focus on purchasing Site Materials and Indirect Materials such as MRO, PPE, Lab Supplies, Chemicals and Field Equipment. It will include developing RFPs, negotiating new contracts and maintaining strong vendor relationships. This role may require 15% of travel.

We are looking for candidates who:

• Hold a bachelors degree in business, supply chain/operations, finance or engineering.
• 5+ years of purchasing in an industrial environment
• Must have experience purchasing indirect materials such as MRO, PPE, Lab Equipment, Chemicals and Field Equipment.
• Prior experience in Oracle PeopleSoft preferred

Target compensation: 85-95k/year
