Bridge Engineer – Ballston Spa, NY
A growing civil and structural engineering consultancy is seeking a Bridge Engineer to join its Ballston Spa office. This role offers the chance to work on impactful state DOT and municipal bridge projects , with opportunities to contribute to all phases of design and collaborate closely with senior technical leaders.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform structural analysis, design, and detailing of bridge and transportation structures
- Support delivery of projects for state DOTs and local government clients
- Prepare and review design drawings, specifications, and calculations
- Collaborate with senior bridge engineers and multidisciplinary project teams
- Participate in meetings with clients, agencies, and stakeholders
- Contribute to project documentation and reporting throughout the design lifecycle
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (structural concentration preferred)
- PE license required (or ability to obtain)
- 7–15+ years of bridge design experience
- Proficiency with structural software and design platforms (e.g., MicroStation, OpenBridge Modeler, AASHTOWare, AutoCAD, MathCAD )
- Familiarity with reinforced concrete and steel design
- Experience working on DOT and local government projects strongly preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
