We have an opening for an associate attorney (2-8 years in practice) in our Dallas office. The ideal candidate will have some experience in contracts, construction law and/or business disputes. Compensation is negotiable, but commensurate with experience.
Qualifications:
· Excellent research and writing skills
· Independent and goal driven with a desire to learn
· Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
· Experience in analyzing, reviewing, editing, and drafting legal documents
· Superior logical reasoning, critical thinking, and analytical skills
· Experience conducting and defending depositions
· Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
· Ability to work with, and meet the expectations of, clients who demand excellence
· JD from accredited law school and licensed to practice in Texas
Responsibilities:
· Assist senior attorneys with litigation
· Manage projects from start to finish
· Conduct and defend depositions, prepare and respond to discovery, and draft pleadings, motions, and briefs
· Legal research and analysis
· Attend hearings, mediations, trial, and arbitration
